What should I ask the selling agent before I bid?

Call the selling agent before you bid and ask four questions. How many viewings and second viewings have there been? Has anyone made an offer yet, and is there a bidding deadline? How is the home being sold: by negotiation or by bidding with a deadline? And what matters to the seller besides price, such as the transfer date? The answers tell you more about the competition than the listing does. Every Bid Check includes a call script for your home, explaining what each answer means for your offer.
